| In New Port Richey from US 19, go East on Main St, South on Madison (Right), East on Louisiana Ave (Left) to the park entrance (take a right into Francis Ave City Park). The put-in is not in great shape, but is adequate. |

| Going upstream you will see a lovely Florida river with fern covered trees, palm trees & palm ferns. Wildlife is somewhat lacking, but this does not diminish this river. |
| Suggested Trips |
| Paddle upriver until the river narrows or is blocked by fallen trees (about 3 to 4 miles). You can paddle downstream towards the Gulf (the US 19 bridge is about 4 miles downstream from the put-in site. Downstream is fairly urban and lined with many beautiful houses & boats. |
